Training to be a triple threat, Donna Simone Johnson has been dancing since she was 4 years old. Inspired by Michael and Janet Jackson at a young age, she began training with Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Debbie Allen Academy and at Dance Arts Academy. Her dancing has appeared in such films as "You Got Served: Take It To The Streets," as well as "High School Musical 2 & 3." She has worked for and performed with Bradley Rapier, Harry Shum, Brooklyn Jai, Ryan Adames, Vivian Nixon, Kenny Ortega, Deitrick Haddon, Kirk Franklin and several other artists/events. In 2006, she shifted her focus from dance to choreography and has taught and choreographed at Dance Arts Academy, Vanguard University, Pasadena High School, Uni High School and Arts and Communication in PDX and Idyllwild Arts Academy. In 2012, she graduated from New York University, Steinhardt with her Masters of Art in Dance Education for the Profession.
She currently travels to conservatories teaching Dance Somatics to professional dancers, is on summer/winter faculty at Idyllwild Arts Academy and is a specialist at Los Encinos School.
